TEACHABILITY
Sometime around the 1st half of this year, I picked up a great book by John C Maxwell captioned “Talent is never enough”.
Borrowing the term today to throw some light on an idea from my perspective is what I want to do right now. It would amaze that the first time I came across the word Teachability, I took it to mean being able to pass knowledge down not know that it was one word that was wrapped around an individual and his ability to be self taught.
Maxwell in his book put it as the desire to listen, learn and apply; the hunger to discover and grow; willingness to learn, unlearn and relearn. I could sense a large amount of humility in here.
Now, it would be accurate I’d I ask you, how teachable are you?
From experience, I can say that pride has a way of getting in the way not really by choice because if we are to be sincere, learning after you may have known enough or at least you think you do requires a great deal of humility. I remember the Holy Bible asking us to observe the Ants. A pointer that most atimes, learning may take you to vessels you deem less compared to yourself. But if one must learn, even if from his own mistake, then this thought could help.
The most important to thing in life is not to capitalize on our gains, any fool can do that. The really important thing Is to profit from our losses. That requires intelligence and makes the difference between a man of sense and a fool. WILLIAMS BOLITHO

it is a common saying that life is a teacher, the more you live the more you learn. And if we truly learn from our experiences, then our learning will equal every single experience.
John Wooden said “Everything we know, we learned from someone else. So there is no limit to the excess of channels for leaning as well as there is unhindered opportunity for experience.
Teachability for me will be a word to describe learning, experiencing and applying.
Peace
